What a fantastic post. Which I've just read with my morning coffee. :-D Is that Oakwood in Enfield? If so, you were in my old manor! :-) I lived in Enfield for 22 years. If you're in that Oakwood, you really are in the sticks. Enfield is London's northernmost borough and the one with the most parks and green spaces. Lovely photos.
