Two different skills, so two different outcomes. It's like comparing apples and oranges. I used to be a short-distance runner in my teens and 20s and became a long distance runner in my mid 20s. I've now run four marathons and two half-marathons. I'm not interested in the 40-yard experiment because it's pointless. I've developed running skills to run 26.2 miles, not 40 yards in a short burst of speed, brawn and power. :-)
