Thank you very much for such an honest post. I was expecting something like this from Medium. Other than membership and subscriptions, they have no other income. There's no advertising revenue, so therefore they are desperate trying to find an income-generating solution. The issue is that they know they have no other competitors in this market and the question begs to be asked: how come? I used to write on Wattpad when it first started and haven't used it for years. It was truly awful. And the app wasn't a lot better. So, this is where we are. We can quit but in order to go where? :-(
