The last thing you want to do is blow up the chance of a good relationship. Rejection or acceptance are secondary problems, the primary one still remains regret. Trust me, getting rejected is a much better feeling than having regret. The feeling of rejection may wash off after some time but the regret keeps tingling people for a long time.
