Same answer a couple of (British) friends gave me. And I get it. Honestly, I do. One of my friends grew up with an architect dad. He used to be taken to see all these famous landmarks and the Barbican was one.

For me the Barbican stands for Soviet architecture. :-) and their influence on Cuba, politically, economically and ideologically. You can imagine the rest! :-)

Saying that, I love the greenhouse and the outdoor area. :-)
