I haven’t read any Maugham novels in quite a while, but I think I would probably be more attentive now to the settings he placed his characters in. That is if I chose to reread them. I’d also pay more attention to any remark he made about the Azure Coast just because I got to see these places with my very own eyes. It would be interesting to get glimpses of the past of this corner of the world through his words.
