As I drove home nursing my healing arm that reminds me of my need for community, I thought about how the problem wasn’t HER, it wasn’t even what she said. It was everybody at the bar. It was everybody sympathizing with her disgust. It was that nobody spoke up in defense of the man who found the courage to come out to her.
