Disclaimer: I grew up in a household with a Catholic granny, a Freemason dad (I only found out many years later), a closeted Christian mum (Protestant) and an auntie who used to book "babalawos" in every now and then (these are the priests of Cuba's heavily Yoruba-influenced Afro-Cuban tradition). Still, I was brought up atheist. I discovered my spiritual self many years ago, in the midst of Cuba's economic crisis in the 90s. And never looked back. I could carry on for hours. :-)
