Alternatively, they could have gone with something along the lines of "Don't shit your dog here". Overheard many years ago by someone who lived close to Hampstead Heath. The phrase was uttered by a guy who got fed up with people's dog shitting all over the gaffe and owners walking away without cleaning up. :-)
